A Seller’s Story: If you haven’t visited ginghamcountry.com/living recently, you missed my lovely cry-baby story about losing my Top Rated Seller Staturs on Ebay.
About 5 years ago I was seriously ill and diagnosed with COPD. As I struggled to get my health back, my Ebay sales plummeted. In hindsight, I should have closed my store and only reopened after my health improved. Instead, I struggled with health and sales at the same time and neither fared very well.
When I finally got a grip on my health: Pulmonary rehab, Oxygen 24/7 and an exercise regimen, my health became controllable again. Not so much with my Ebay Store.
Sandys Gingham Country on Ebay had been so neglected that I eventually lost my Top Rated Seller Status.
I’ve sold handmade items on Ebay for nearly 17 years. If you have visited “SANDYSGINGHAM” you’ve seen a few of my crafty works for kitchen, bedroom and bath.
I started with Pot-holders 17 years ago, then Pillow Shams a few years after that and Custom Decorated Hand Towels in the last 5/6 years. Recently, I’ve added a new and unique inventory.
COPD is a cruel disease. Sometimes it robs you of what you like the most. Well, “breathing” for one. But I was pretty aggravated when I couldn’t sew, either. I was a told a sewing room is as dangerous as a saw mill for someone with COPD. I think the smell of new fabric is lovley, but my nose thinks other wise and makes me cough my head off to get rid of it.
So… a long story short. My Ebay Store has added a brand product– a new inventory of clothing. I try to keep a good assortment for everyone, with childrens clothing, teens clothing and clothing for men. Most of my inventory is for women though. Shirts, shorts, dresses and pants. I try to keep a little bit of everything for the ladies. I have a great collection of plus sizes from Lane Bryant.
