Little Tikes Coupe Car
I think everyone with children has at least one Little Tikes Coupe Car in a bedroom, den or backyard. The durability of the little tikes car was epic.
the Honda Accord and the Ford Taurus.
Unfortunately it was too late for my children making it’s first entrance in 1979. The Little Tike car joined our family shortly after our first grandchild was born in 1992. That car lived through many years with Chris and brought many hours of fun to all 8 of our grandchildren.
I can still remember the day my grandson received his Little Tikes red car. I don’t think he was 2 years old yet and when he first saw it, he ran away crying. The car was larger than he was and I am pretty sure he thought we expected him to hit the highway with his new car.
Thank goodness he also got a little “ride on” choo-choo train. So off they went; my grandson straddled the little choo-choo train, keeping it moving with his barefeet. His mother (my 5′ 2″ daughter) wiggled into the Little Tikes car and followed him off down the hall. The two of them drove car and train and hooted and hollered till they were both out of breathe.
Of course, I must admit we had a little issue removing my daughter from that car. I never knew she could be such a contortionist until I watch her get out of that car. “Easy in” isn’t always “easy out.”
I can remember this little car like it was yesterday despite the fact that my first grandchild is 23 years old now.
He loved this little car and I hope you can find a Little Tikes car that will bring the same fun memories for you and your family.
Though I do have to admit as I smother a giggle, I can still see my “20 something” daughter trying to get out of this little car! when my grandson insisted that he get the car and forced her to ride the Little Red Choo Choo Train.
Honestly, that Little Tyke car was one of those favorite gifts FOREVER. We only gave it away a couple years ago and that first grandson is 23 years old now. It lasted through many other grandchildren, neighbors children and anyone else who happened to visit with children in tow.
