If you’ve read Life@GinghamCountry
you’ve heard my whoas and moans about COPD. Winters are tough and I can’t wait for Spring. I can breathe better, sleep better and my disposition improves exponentially. If you’ve noticed my lack of new posts…just blame it on Winter ugh!
t’s 8:30 am and hubby is outside watering the potted plants circling the front of the house. It feels so good to leave the front door open and smell chilly but fresh air. I breathe better and the oxygen tube in my nose sends out a slight whistle when I inhale.
Of course, spring also brings lots of work. Our son is coming this weekend. He always brings friends and they weed-eat and mow until this place looks miraculous. They remove all remnants of winter and the yard is new and clean and ready for fresh water to urge the bermuda grass along.
Thank goodness Matt doesn’t mind and we love having him around, any friends he brings are part of the family too. Plus, we always have the best dinners on clean-up days. More family joins in; daughters, sons, grandchildren, etc. It’s a fun time when Spring Comes to the Desert Southwest. How is Spring approaching in your neck of the woods?
Mowing isn’t the only fun after our yard cleaning get-together. Grilling and barbecue are next and Sons and Grandsons are nominated by demand.
Settling back for some hard-earned watching is my favorite relaxation. I never have more fun than seeing the kids and grands playing, laughing and sharing their lives.
What is your favorite thing to do when Spring finally arrives! Well, something besides “White Sales,” I hear ya!
