Best Gifts for Bike Riders
Many a launch pad was built in the street in front of our house. And our boys weren’t the only ones using it.
The neighborhood children played in our yard and on the bike ramps constructed in the street while the residence swerved to allow the biker gang out front.
I didn’t mind, really though, because I knew where they were and what they were doing. Plus, we lived in one of those small neighborhoods where everyone knows everyone. And, most of our neighbors and friends felt the exact same way.
Of course, “That was the good old days,” say my full-grown sons now. Without reluctance, I agree.
For generations, a Bicycle has been the favorite gift whether for toddler, teenager or adult. (Of course, I drive to the YMCA now to ride my bike so it can measure my heart rate.) But hey, I won’t get run over.
Of course we know, anyone on a Bicycle needs headgear. No matter how small they are, a fall on a soft lawn or concrete sidewalk can be serious.
