Back to School Supplies – Computers and Tablets
My very first tablet was a Kindle. It was in the early days of Kindle and came with a black and white screen and buttons to turn the page.
The newer Kindles have outgrown that skin and become full-grown Tablets. Smart and easy to use the Kindle has become a fierce competitor for all name brand Tablets.
I must admit that I’m older and set in my ways. I wouldn’t trade my old Kindle for a new one today. But the main reason for being enamored with my older Kindle is those “push-button” page turners. It feels like the proper way to turn a page. I’ve done it for far too long.
Now, the Kindle has grown into a powerhouse Tablet computer. In larger sizes, with colored touch-screens the Kindle lost those buttons to turn the page. Nowadays, it only takes a swoosh across the screen to turn a page. I might try a new Kindle…one of these days.
Currently, I’m trying to talk myself into a Laptop. As much as I love my Kindle and Tablet, I still enjoy a full keyboard (keypad) when typing long documents. Yes, I am really tired of sitting in front of a wooden desk with my back strained in the same position for hours.
I could be totally happy to lounge in my recliner and type a full-blown article on a computer in my lap.
